Privacy Policy

In short

Panevue collects no data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Panevue has no servers: your screen, keyboard, mouse, clipboard, sound and files travel directly between your own devices. With Panevue for Mac they are encrypted end to end; VNC connections use the security of the server you connect to.

This policy covers Panevue for iPad and iPhone, Panevue for Mac and this website.

What stays on your devices

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Removing a computer from the app also removes its saved password, and deleting the app deletes the computers you saved.

How your devices connect

Panevue finds computers on your local network using Bonjour and by checking the devices on your Wi-Fi for a screen sharing service. Connections go directly from your iPad or iPhone to your computer, on your local network or through Tailscale if you use it. The real-time stream between Panevue and Panevue for Mac is encrypted end to end with keys only your two devices know; VNC connections use the security of the server you connect to.

Tailscale (optional)

If you choose to connect your Tailscale account to list your devices automatically, the app sends the credentials you provide to Tailscale's API (api.tailscale.com) to read your list of devices, and nothing else. Those credentials stay in your device's Keychain. Tailscale's own privacy policy applies to that service.
